The Telechips WiFi Digital Picture Frame Will Have Streaming Internet Radio
This is the new Telechips Wi-Fi-enabled digital photo frame, featuring wireless connectivity using CSR’s UniFi single-chip Wi-Fi technology. According to CSR ’s announcement today, UniFi will provide users with the capability to send their favorite photos directly to an 8-inch LCD display and also to connect via Wi-Fi access points to provide wireless streaming of internet radio. The Telechips frame will be available at the end of this month.
A wireless digital picture frame is nothing new now, but the fact that the Telechips will have wireless streaming internet radio is pretty cool.
The wireless picture frame will support the usual picture programs; I am curious to find out if FrameChannel is one of them. I know that Flickr and Picasa are supported. I’ve used them all and I still much prefer FrameChannel to any other picture program out there.
According to Tracy Hopkins, Vice President of CSR’s Consumer Business United, “It is clear that the market for Wi-Fi enabled devices is growing rapidly and our collaboration with Telechips will enable ODMs to deliver high quality multi-functional devices in minimal time to market.”
Minho Seo, CEO of Telechips, agrees. “Increased functionality remains a key differentiator for many of our customers and wireless connectivity is becoming a must have.”
I agree.
