Prinics introduces a digital photo frame that does more than simply slideshow your favorite photographs. The new Prinics digital photo frame will actually print off 6 kinds of ID-size photograph: 5×7, 5×5 (passport), 5×4, 3.5×4.5, 3×4, 2.5×3 (cm)) picture, for a friend, for a relative, for a passport. . . for any reason.
The quality of the printed picture is excellent, too.
Check out this video from Prinics; it runs you through the entire process.
The new Prinics digital picture frames come in a 7-inch and an 8-inch version.
The self-contained paper-and-ink cartridges are VERY easy to remove and to replace, and each cartridge is good for 36 prints. The Prinics frames have a very simple to understand GUI, too.
You’ll have your choice of patterned or plain frames, and the wireless remote makes programming the frame easier than ever.
Think how cool it would be, when your parents are oohing and ahing over the pictures of your baby on your slideshow, to just press a button and hand them a print!
British manufacturer Varnam has a new 8″ digital photo frame that has several new features that make it stand out among most digital picture frames.
For one, the Varnam frame has an internal battery, which means the frame can be used away from an electrical socket. It also means that there will be no big black cord hanging from the frame. WHEN you plug the frame in to charge the battery, you’ll then get two full hours of playback.
For another, the quality of the pictures and videos is absolutely excellent. There is no “stretch” or “pull” when it comes to the pictures you’ll see on the screen. The LCD screen has a resolutionof 800 X 480, stretched over only eight inches; your images will appear sharp and clear.
One reviewer that I found did not like the six touch-sensitive buttons for navigating the on-screen menus, feeling that even though the buttons worked well and were very responsive, they were ugly. I personally like the buttons, so that is entirely a matter of opinion.
Not only will the Varnam digital frame display your photographs; it will also let you watch your videos, view text files (not many digital frames do that!) and listen to your music. There is also an output for a TV, and USB connectors so you can attach the frame to your PC or use a flash drive. You can also use almost any memory card with this digital frame. The 128 MB of memory will store approximately a hundred pictures, too.
The Varnam VM830BT digital frame has a touch-sensitive front panel, which provides the user interface for the frame. You can also program your Varnam digital frame with the wireless remote, also included.
I know that Best Buy had a major problem with their older digital frame, but this new Insignia (Best Buy’s own house brand) digital picture frame looks like a winner.
The 10-inch LCD screen, 16:9 aspect ration, and 88 x 480 resolution will give you excellent viewing of your precious pictures, even from across a large room. The Insignia digital frame supports most memory cards and flash drives, and if you’d rather just upload pictures into the frame directly, it will hold 256 MG worth.
You’ll be able to connect it to your computer easily, with the USB 2.0 interface, and will display a single picture or a slideshow. This digital picture frame also has a clock and calendar.
Besides your pictures, the Insignia 10-inch photo frame also plays your mp3’s, AAC’s, and WMA’s.
Wireless remote included, and the frame comes with two interchangeable wooden frames so you can customize it for any decor.
The Insignia 10-inch Digital Photo Frame is on sale now at Best Buy for $180.00. That’s not a lot of money for a really big and versatile digital frame!
There are few things in this universe that EVERYBODY is affected by, but weather is one of them. We can’t do anything about the weather, but we are almost obsessed with every detail about the weather. There’s a Weather Channel on cable television. There’s a Weather Channel on FrameChannel. There are all kinds of websites about weather. Banks and businesses have a Time and Temperature hotline. Our computers display the time and often a little weather icon. I think it’s safe to say that many people are very, very interested in the weather.
However, if your digital picture frame, the one that sits right there on your bedside table, displayed every detail you could possibly ever desire about the weather, that would be the coolest of all. Talk about handy! I mean, right there by your bed!
Thanks to Hammacher Schlemmer’s Digital Weather Station/Photo Frame, you can get the best of both possible worlds: the weather, and pictures of all the people who make your life worth living.
This digital photo frame/weather station has a clear, bright, full-color 7-inch TFT LCD screen, which is quite a shift from the monochromatic ‘blah’ of a regular digital alarm clock. The screen can display any kind of weather is a variety of ways, along with all the basic weather perimeters such as sunrise, sunset, moonrise, moonset, humidity, moon phases, etc. The Hammacher Schlemmer Digital Weather Station/Photo Frame can give you the weather inside your house and outside, too, thanks to the wireless sensor that sits outside your house.
As a digital picture frame, the Hammacher Schlemmer displays images from most memory cards and flash drives. There’s also a small bit of internal memory - 128MB - which will let your frame hold a few pictures in and of itself.
I would love to throw my boring digital clock-radio out the window and put a Hammacher Schlemmer Weather Station/Digital Frame by my bed. I would also like to have one in the bathroom and the kitchen. You can’t have too many pictures of those you love best, and I might need to know details about the weather in a room other than the bedroom, too.
Price: $199.95, from Hammacher Schlemmer.
