FrameMedia and FrameChannel Featured in BizReport Article!

Kristina Knight has an article up, over on BizReport, about FrameMedia’s FrameChannel!  I’m a huge FrameChannel fan, as you all no doubt know by now - I consider it to be the best content provider - and it’s exciting to see news and information about FrameChannel elsewhere on the internet.

“You’ve probably seen by now the digital photo frames that friends and family are adding to their computers. FrameMedia is adding a little something extra to those loops and marketers should pay close attention. FrameMedia is one arm of Interpublic’s Initiative; they are adding content and ads to the picture loops.”

Epoq Introduces Wireless ATSC TV’s That Are Also Digital Picture Frames

Posted on Oct 1, 2008 by Jane Goodwin at 12:05 am

Our electronics are getting more and more versatile with each passing day!  Now we’ve even got an HDTV that is also a digital picture frame!

From iTechNewsNet comes this information about the Epoq EPT-LC10AT Wireless ATSC TV’s:

“Epoq introduces a new lineup of portable ATSC digital TV’s, including the EPT-LC10AT, EPT-LC7AT and EDP-AT02.

The 10-inch EPT-LC10AT has a 480×800 display and built-in lithium-ion battery. The 7-inch has a 7-inch 480p screen and battery. The EDP-AT02 gets also a 7-inch display but comes with no built-in battery. It can also be a digital photo frame and comes with USB 2.0 port and SD/MS/MMC card slot.

The price of EPT-LC10AT is not yet announced while the EPT-LC7AT and EDP-AT02 are priced at $279 and $249 respectively.”

CrunchGear has this to add:  “Now that the digital transition is just months away, and already happened in some parts, analog, handheld TVs are going to stop working. You know, the type of TVs you used to sneak into church overnighters and ‘hunting trips.’ Epoq is here to make sure that you can continue to see the game even if you’re in the middle of the lake ‘fishing’ with these three new models.”

Item:  Currently, the Epoq tv’s are the only truly portable HDTV’s in the USA, for the other companies’ small ATSC sets can receive only SD, not the HD channels.

And in between shows, you can watch all of your favorite digital pictures slideshowing across the screen!

Sony Europe Introduces Two Beautiful Digital Picture Frames

Posted on Sep 24, 2008 by Jane Goodwin at 12:05 am

Sony has two new digital picture frames:  the 8-inch DPF-D80 and the 10.2-inch DPF-D100.

The two frames have identical features, among them a 800 x 600 resolution and a 4:3 format.

Both Sony frames can be displayed in either landscape or portrait style; the picture display is auto-correcting.  Both frames support almost any memory card or flash drive, too.

With 256 MP of internal memory, both frames can hold a couple of thousand pictures each, and with memory card or flash drive, even more!

Both Sony digital picture frames will be in stores - in Europe, that is - by October.  Perhaps the next Sony frame will be wireless; I hope so, anyway!
