Amazon’s Full Page of Wireless/Digital Picture Frame Suggestions for Your Mother!

Posted on May 4, 2008 by Jane Goodwin at 12:05 am

With Mother’s Day only a week away, businesses of all kinds are telling you exactly what your mother wants to see when she opens her gifts.  While it is still true that many women want flowers, candy, jewelry, perfume, it is equally true that today’s electronics-savvy women want something else, as well.

Today’s woman wants to unwrap a wireless/digital picture frame on May 11th!

I know this for a fact.  I’m a woman, and a mother, and my own wireless digital picture frame - my beautiful, wonderful Digital Spectrum MF 8104 - is the coolest thing I own.  I update it every few days.  My family and friends send me pictures for it, so I can keep up with them and their families, too.  Everyone who walks through my living room stops to watch the slideshow, to see my beautiful children grow up before their eyes, to see loved ones, long gone, live again in my picture frame. . . .but I’ve spoken of these things before.

Even if your mother has never heard of digital picture frames before, she will love it.  Even if your mother is like mine, and refuses to have anything whatsoever to do with computers and “gadgets,” she will love the digital picture frame that you have already loaded full of pictures for her.  Just do what I did with my mother: load the frame full, set it up for her on a table or wall, and tell her she doesn’t even have to touch it.  Tell her that all she has to do is look at it.  Your mom, like mine, will fall madly in love with it and show it off to all her friends.

Of course, if your mom IS tech-savvy, she’ll appreciate it even more!  Get wireless if you can, so your mom can have access to your or her own FrameChannel account!

Individual companies are offering great bargains for your mother’s gift, but over on Amazon, they’ve put out a page that lists almost ALL of the major brands of wireless/digital frames.  All are marked down from the price you’d pay at a regular store, and there is still time to get a frame for your mom before next Sunday!

Just look at what Amazon has to offer, by way of wireless/digital picture frame choices!

Wireless/Digital Pictures Frames at the Funeral Home

Posted on Mar 15, 2008 by Jane Goodwin at 12:05 am

I have been to three funerals in the past two years, and all three had a wireless/digital picture frame on display, with a slideshow of some of the highlights of the deceased’s life. Spouse, children, ceremonies, music, voices, etc. were on display for everyone to see and hear.

One of the funerals had a digital picture display that had been prepared by a professional slideshow company to the tune of $150.00 for the making of the brief, 200-picture show. One of the funerals had a slideshow prepared by the funeral home with pictures brought in by the spouse in a shoebox, for a “mere” additional $800.00. The third funeral had a slideshow put together by the deceased’s five grown children; each had contributed several dozen photographs that represented a part of their father’s life, and had solicited pictures from family and friends, also.

I asked one of the sons, who is a personal friend of mine, how long it took to put the slideshow together.

“About four hours,” he replied. “All we had to do was scan the older photographs, make a desktop file with all the pictures, and slide them onto a flash drive. We ended up with enough pictures that our slideshow went through the entire batch about four times in three hours. Plus, now we have Dad’s life on a thumb drive. He’d laugh if he knew that.”

I hope none of you need this information any time soon, but let’s face it: life can hand us some nasty surprises once in a while. If you want a slideshow display of someone’s life, why not use a wireless/digital picture frame and make the slideshow yourself, for free?

There are so many practical uses for a wireless/digital picture frame: weddings, trade shows, nursing homes, schools, businesses. . . . and funerals.

It’s more fun to think of the wireless frame we have in our living room, but these frames are so very much more versatile than merely that.

My Wireless Digital Picture Frame Has Enriched and Uncluttered My Life!

Posted on Jan 9, 2008 by Jane Goodwin at 12:05 am

I love pictures of my family and friends.

Until a few weeks ago, I had picture frames all over my house. Almost every countertop and tabletop and shelf was covered with all kinds of picture frames.  There were several framed picture arrangements on the walls, too.
Now, I have only a few framed pictures left in my house, but I’m able to see more pictures than ever before.  Instead of seeing framed, never-changing static snapshots covering the walls and shelves, gathering dust and constantly being knocked over by the cats, I’ve got just a very few regular framed portraits, each with one picture,  and a wireless digital picture frame that has well over a thousand pictures slideshowing across its screen daily.

And I haven’t even really BEGUN to upload pictures.

The thing is, with FrameChannel, uploading pictures is so incredibly easy; and once your pictures are on FrameChannel, they’re automatically and instantaneously included in your wireless digital photo frame show.

My ten-inch Digital Spectrum MF8104 wireless digital picture frame is my favorite thing in my entire house.  If I had to choose between my wireless frame and my furniture, I’d choose the wireless frame.  Yes, really.

And speaking of furniture and wireless digital picture frames. . . . I got rid of two small tables and a little bookshelf - I really only needed them to put all those tiny picture frames on - and I’ve got counterspace like you wouldn’t believe.

In other words, having a wireless digital picture frame has not only enriched my life and enabled me to see my entire life in pictures, it has also uncluttered my life and given me more breathing room.  Less to dust, less to trip over, less to constantly pick up after the cats knock it over, a lot more living space, and a TON of pictures to look at.

It’s just wonderful, that’s what it is.
