I can’t stop talking about my Digital Spectrum MF 8104 wireless digital picture frame. It’s the highlight of my living room, the focal point of the sofa and all the chairs in there, and nobody can walk past it without pausing for at least a full minute. It showcases and slideshows the several thousand pictures stored in my FrameChannel account.
As with any product, especially electronics, however, it pays to shop around.
At eTail Electronics, for example, the DS MF 8104 wireless frame is $318.00, while at Sterling Purse.com, this same wireless digital picture frame is $339.00.
At B&H, the Digital Spectrum MF 8104 wireless digital photo frame is $299.95, and on the Digital Spectrumwebsite, they’re asking $388.00 for this frame.
You can get the Digital Spectrum MF 8104 wireless digital picture frame on Amazon right now for $304.99, marked down from $349.00, and if you don’t mind a wireless frame that’s been used, you can get this one for only $176.10. I’ve purchased a lot of used merchandise from Amazon, and so far, I haven’t noticed the least bit of difference!
On eBay, this wireless digital frame is going, going, going for $318.99, but that price could change at any moment.
At WalMart, the Digital Spectrum MF 8104 wireless digital picture frame is $324.84.
Sometimes, an online electronics site will offer free shipping, so be on the lookout for that, too.
Let me say this once more: if my house caught fire, God forbid, I’d save all the people, the cats, and then my Digital Spectrum MF 8104 wireless digital picture frame. Yes, I love it THAT MUCH.

To tell you the truth, I don’t spend all that much time in WalMart. However, when I do go there, it’s because I’ve heard, usually word-of-mouth, of a fantastic bargain in electronics.
Why, yes, I am a woman, why do you ask?
I once bought sandals there; is that proof enough?
A few days ago, my husband heard from a friend that WalMart had an incredible deal on memory cards. The Hubs was getting ready to fly out to California, and had been looking for a ‘deal’ on a 2 GB card, and this one was too good to pass up.
Ordinarily, this memory card goes for $29.95 at WalMart, and that’s a pretty good deal in and of itself. HOWEVER, Hubs bought this card for. . . . . drum roll. . . . .$14.99.
That’s right, WalMart has a 2 GB memory card for $14.99.
Every digital or wireless digital photo frame uses these memory cards – just pull it out of your camera and insert it into the frame and VOILA, your trip to California is being displayed on your living room wall, or on your office desk, to remind you of that last time you saw Aunt Phyllis in San Francisco.
When we were buying this card (actually, he bought two!) the display was attracting a LOT of attention and savvy bargain-hunters-who-knew-a-good-electronics-deal-when-they-saw-one were descending on it like piranha on a cow’s hind leg.
Check out YOUR local WalMart to see if they’ve got this amazing deal. Seriously, it’s a great buy. The clerk told us that it was an unadvertised special; those are almost always the best deals EVER. WalMart is good for unadvertised bargains; in electronics, there is almost always at least one. This one was spectacular.
Go to WalMart. Buck the crowds. Buy this 2GB memory card.
You’ll make your wireless digital picture frame sooooo happy. Your digital camera will be happy, too.
According to Pandigital President Dean Finnegan, his company sold 520,000 frames in the last quarter of 2006. “Seventy percent of the buyers were female, and they bought an average of 1.8 frames, coming back for a second frame after the delight of experiencing the first.” This statistic doesn’t surprise me in the least. I’m female, and I want one of these wireless digital picture frames more than I’ve ever wanted anything for my home in a long time.
However, I will have to add that my husband is a male, and he can’t wait to get his hands on one, either. I think he wants to explore it in all its electronic glory, whereas I just can’t wait to get all my pictures ‘out there’ where I can see them all the time, every day, and show them off to other people, too.
One of the best articles I’ve come across yet is THIS ONE by Mike Pasini, of Imaging Resource. When you read this article, you will not only learn all about the Pandigital frames, you will also be shown, in minute, easy-to-follow format, exactly how to use your Pandigital frame, from taking it out of the box, through all the steps (with pictures and diagrams and amateur-friendly instruction) all the way to hanging it on your wall, fully loaded. Or, placing it on a desk or table: whichever you prefer. It’s your digital frame, after all; please feel free to place it wherever you wish.
Enough from me. Click over to Imaging Resource and read Mike Pasini’s article. It’s so full of useful information about the Pandigital frame, and other frames as well, that you might even want to print it out.
This frame has appealed to me for quite some time now, and the more I read about it, the better it looks! After all, a product that has “almost no returns” has got to be pretty darn good!
And by June, they’ll have Wifi! And a rechargeable battery so there won’t be a power cord!
You don’t have to search for the Pandigital frame in electronics and specialty stores, either. You can buy one at Penney’s, Macy’s, Mervyn’s, Office Depot, Linens ‘N Things and more. About 6,000 in all, in fact. I like the fact that Pandigital is selling its digital frames in familiar, easy-to-find stores. I’m much more apt to purchase a new product in a store I already patronize.
