2008 Predicitions for wireless and digital frames

Wireless and digital frames flew off the shelves this holiday season. With the dramatic increase in sales and advancements in technology since only one year ago, people are already wondering what 2008 will bring for the wireless frame market.

An article on photography website, Adorama, makes some predictions for the next year. One of those predictions-digital frames will surpass digital cameras as the biggest holiday gift of 2008. The article also predicted increased use of the Eye-Fi Wireless SD memory card, which we’ve written about before. With more frames on the market, and more wireless cards, it will be easier than ever to send your photos to your wireless frame in real time.

Commercial use of digital frames is growing as well. Yesterday, AirMedia Group announced the completion of outfitting two terminals in Beijing International Airport with digital frames. One terminal at the airport has been using digital frames since early December. When the newest terminal opens, 120 70-inch frames will display paid advertisements to travelers.
