JOBO introduces the new PDJ152 15-inch digital photo frame!

“The state-of-the-art new JOBO PDJ152 Photo Display was created to help consumers keep their memories alive and visible whether positioned on a tabletop or desk or conveniently mounted to a wall. And now with the option for the user to easily change the color of the frame’s trim, this 15-inch model is sure to blend perfectly into any environment,” according to Johannes Bockemuehl-Simon, CEO of JOBO.

With a full gig of internal memory – that’s approximately 4,000 pictures, folks! – and three interchangeable frame colors – black, white, and silver - this new JOBO digital frame is bound to be a hit.

The TFT color LCD display, all 15 inches of it, can be easily seen from across a large room, and will showcase your photographs clearly, colorfully, and beautifully.

The JOBO digital frame has a 1024 x 768 pixel resolution and a contrast ratio of 400:1.

Your pictures can be uploaded to the frame via almost any camera memory card or flash drive, or directly from your computer via the included USB cable.

The frame has a wireless remote, of course, making it easier than ever to program your new digital picture frame slideshow, even from your easy chair!

On a frame this large – 15 inches! – you’ll be able to see the calendar and clock from your chair, too.

JOBO is a third-generation family-owned company, with a stellar reputation. It was one of the first exhibitors in Photokina, one of the most important, and oldest, photo trade shows.

Never forget, too, that the NASA pictures of the Apollo 11 moon flight were processed using JOBO equipment!!!

D-Link Now Shipping New Wi-Fi Digital Photo Frame

Posted on Jul 10, 2008 by Jane Goodwin at 12:05 am

If you are one of the many people who’ve been waiting for D-Link to ship the new wireless DSM-210 digital picture frame, your wait is over!  D-Link is now shipping it!

I’ve posted twice before about the D-Link DSM-210 wireless digital picture frame, and now that it’s on the market, people are finding out how cool it really is.

Wherever you might keep your pictures on your computer - Flickr, Picasa, Facebook, FrameChannel, etc. - the D-Link wireless photo frame can access them and turn them into a slideshow that your family and friends will thoroughly enjoy.

The DSM-210 also allows you to stream internet content such as news, sports, weather, trivia, great art, NASA, etc. directly to your wireless picture frame.  Anything with “RSS” on it can be accessed, in fact.

Remember this symbol?  Watch for it when you surf the internet.  When you see the RSS symbol, you can subscribe to the site you’re looking at and view it on your wireless DSM-210.

D-Link wireless picture frames are all FrameChannel-friendly, too.  FrameChannel is an excellent content provider and the accounts are absolutely free, there.

Steven Joe, president and CEO of D-Link Systems, Inc., tells us that “Bringing this easy-to-use Wi-Fi and Internet-enabled photo frame to market is an important extension of our digital home strategy where the home network serves as a powerful platform to connect together a variety of devices beyond just PC’s.  This 10″ photo frame (DSM-210) is an ideal solution for customers wanting to view not only the hundreds of photos stored on their PC’s but those they’ve uploaded for others to share over the Internet.  It was also important that we provide our customers the added benefit of accessing content that interests them from the frame such as the latest news, weather and sports scores without the need to turn on the PC.”

Not only is the new D-Link DSM-210 wireless, it’s also GREEN!  It has a power-saving motion detector, so when someone is in the room, the frame turns on, and when nobody is in the room, the frame automatically switches off, to save electricity.

The DSM-210 is wireless, but it can also be updated via most standard flash memory formats.  Plus, the frame itself has a full gig of internal memory.  You can hang it on the wall, or display it on a table or desktop.

The D-Link DSM-210 wireless digital picture frame has a 10-inch widescreen and a wireless remote.  It comes with interchangeable black and white faceplates, but thanks to a partnership with Skinit (TM), D-Link has custom skins available, so if you want a specific type or color or style of frame, just let them know!

What a great wireless digital photo frame for only $249.99!

Parrot’s New Designer Collection Begins With Andree Putman

Posted on Jul 8, 2008 by Jane Goodwin at 12:05 am

This classy beauty is from the Parrot Designer Collection, and it was designed by Andree Putman.

Those in the know will recognize Putman’s personal style immediately.  And whether you are in the know or not, Parrot’s gorgeous Putman frame is absolutely fantastic!

Putman says that “I would like to pay tribute to Parrot for daring to think that this wonder of technology could be coiled up inside a beautifujl wrapping.  Storage fans will be the most vulnerable to the charm of this object, which will overcome any problems of arranging photo souvenirs.”

According to Henri Seydoux, CEO and founder of Parrot, “Here at Parrot, we have always put design in the limelight.  The Parrot frame by Andree Putman is the first in a series of artistic dedications for our range of wireless audiovisual products.”

This new and artistic Parrot frame is wireless, and the bright, clear 15-inch LCD screen makes your pictures look wonderful, even from across a large room.  Just like all the other Parrot wireless/digital picture frames, the Putman frame automatically rotates and resizes all of your pictures to stylishly fit the screen.  There are several choices of slideshow, too.

Bluetooth technology allows you to transfer pictures to the Putman frame directly from your cell phone!  You can also program the wireless frame to display pictures from your computer via most content providers.  Unfortunately, Parrot wireless frames are not yet programmed to use FrameChannel, but I’m sure that day is coming.

Picture frames of all kinds have always been attractive, and with the advent of noted artists designing wireless/digital picture frames now, it’s like having a work of art in your room!  In fact, you DO have a work of art in your room!

The new Parrot Designer Collection is not available in the States yet, but just you wait a bit:  soon Americans will be able to purchase these beautiful wireless picture frames, too!

Transcend’s Regional Head - Sales, SAARC & APAC, Mr. Austin Huang, says that “If you’re looking to add a bit of fashion to your living room, bedroom, or office and show off your picture collection at the same time, be assured that the T.photoTM 710C offers exceptional quality, features and value. As opposed to the original T.photo 710’s elegant black and gold color scheme, the new T.photo 710C’s transparent frame offers a simple and pure look, making it perfect for setting on an office desk or mounting on a living room wall, regardless of décor.”

This Transcend digital frame is thin - it’s a flat panel, in fact!  The 7-inch screen makes the viewing of your photographs, the clock, and the calendar an easy and pleasant experience, and being able to play your favorite Mp3’s along with your picture slideshow just adds to the enjoyment!  You can even use the Transcend digital picture frame as an alarm clock, with your choice of music to awaken you!

The full gig of internal memory means that you can store a LOT of pictures within the frame, not even counting how many pictures you can actually showcase in your slideshows when you use pretty much any memory stick or card on the market.

This classy digital photo frame requires no drivers when you connect it to your computer, and you can load your pictures by simply dragging and dropping them into the frame!

The two-year warranty that all Transcend digital picture frames comes with will further ease your mind.  Not many electronics of any type have that kind of warranty!

The Transcend T-photo TM 710C digital picture frame has a high resolution (480 x 234) widescreen TFT LCD screen, which means the display is flawless - whether it be in landscape or portrait mode.  You can even program this digital frame from across the room, using the handy wireless remote.

Oh, and that calendar function?  It’s not just a calendar; you can actually mark important dates on it, and the calendar will give you alarm reminders.

You can mount this digital frame on the wall, or display it on a desk or tabletop.  To further enhance your room’s decor, the Transcend T-photo digital frame comes with seasonal frame themes (Christmas, New Year’s, and Valentine’s Day).
