From The Earth Times comes the news about a new content provider called YouGotPhoto, an award-winning service received a Demo God award at DEMO, in San Diego, this past September.
YouGotPhoto doesn’t host content, as FrameChannel does, nor does it manufacture or endorse any particular wireless/digital photo frames; it simply enables wi-fi digital picture frame owners to send their pictures anywhere in the world, at lightning speed. Cell phone pictures, and any picture on your computer. . . both can be sent ANYWHERE in the world, via YouGotPhoto. Business owners can use YouGotPhoto with their digital signage, also.
Many photo sites can be utilized by YouGotPhoto: Flickr, Picasa, Facebook. . . and many others!
How cool it is to be able to update your wireless digital picture frame so easily, or to completely customize, time, and update any digital display!
Chris Shipley, executive producer of the DEMO Conferences, had this to say about YouGotPhoto: “YouGotPhoto might not only be the ‘killer app’ that digital photo frames are waiting for, but also a technology that could revolutionize the digital signage industry.” Wow.
In fact, YouGotPhoto can support image delivery from any content source to any digital display!
Check out this video, where Nick Fothergill tells us all about YouGotPhoto.

TWICE informs us that Smartparts has added WI-FI to its already-fantastic 32-inch digital picture frame!
I’ve been impressed by this giant digital photo frame all along, and the fact that Smartparts has added wireless possibilities to it has impressed me even more! I don’t think I’ve ever posted THREE TIMES about any one product, but Smartparts has inspired me to make an exception. (First there was THIS SMARTPARTS POST, and then there was THIS NEXT SMARTPARTS POST.)
Add all the information from the past two posts -awards, over 1500 pictures’ worth of internal memory, blazingly bright and colorful pictures, etc, - and you’ve got an incredible picture-window marketing tool AND the perfect over-the-sofa-or-mantel display of memories that can be clearly seen from any point in the room.
Oh my, did I say that this was the THIRD Smartparts post? Make that the FOURTH. I am genuinely impressed by this WIRELESS digital picture frame!

All over the web, people who went to the huge BlogHer conference in San Francisco are putting their pictures on their websites and encouraging each other to help themselves. On Flickr, there are several BlogHer 08 sets, and I should know, because I have one, too!
Most BlogHers had to wait until they got back home to upload their many BlogHer pictures from their camera’s memory card, but I didn’t. My BlogHer pictures were already slideshowing on my Digital Spectrum MF 8104 wireless digital picture frame before I ever set foot on the plane in the San Francisco airport for my trip back home.
I used an Eye-Fi card at BlogHer, so my pictures were appearing on my wireless picture frame just a few minutes after they were taken; my family in Indiana saw my BlogHer pictures even before I did!
Here’s the thing, you see: I set up a FrameChannel channel for my Flickr BlogHer pictures; in other words, every picture in the BlogHer 08 Flickr set that’s tagged “BlogHer08″ or “BlogHer2008″ is being picked up and included in the slideshow! FrameChannel is like magic! My Digital Spectrum MF8104 is like a magic mirror, and all I have to do is stand and look at it and it lets me relive all those wonderful memories of the good time I had at BlogHer 08 in San Francisco last week.
So, come on, BlogHers! Tag your pictures with “BlogHer08″ or “BlogHer2008,” and let FrameChannel be your content provider. Whether you’ve put your pictures in Facebook, MySpace, Flickr, Picasa, etc, FrameChannel can turn them into a channel that people can subscribe to!
You can make a subscribeable channel of anything, you know. It’s a great way to share reunions, parties, graduations, etc, too!
Father’s Day is just eleven days away, and I can tell you right now that your dad doesn’t need any more ties or socks. What your father would really like to have this year is a wireless/digital picture frame.
Think about it. Most men like to keep a picture frame on their desks at work, but looking at that same picture day after day has got to get a little old after a while. A wireless/digital picture frame in that same spot would give Dad a different picture every time he looked at it! Each child, the spouse, the partner, parents, uncles, aunts, grandparents, pets, vacations, house, yard, sports scores, weather, headlines. . . . you name it, and your dad could be looking at it right there on his wireless/digital picture frame.
If your dad’s den or workplace has WiFi, you can connect him to a FrameChannel account, which would bring almost the entire world right into the frame!
(I love FrameChannel; that’s where I get all my news, weather, and aesthetics these days!)
So remember: Your dad wants a wireless/digital picture frame for Father’s Day. No tie. No socks. WIRELESS DIGITAL PHOTO FRAME. Really, he does.
