Memorex, long respected maker of electronics, introduces two new digital picture frames, just in time for Mother’s Day!

I’ve suggested before on this blog that an ideal gift for a parent or grandparent - or anyone who isn’t computer-savvy - would be a digital picture frame fully loaded with family pictures. The new Memorex digital frames would be perfect!

The new Memorex frames will read almost any memory card or flash drive, and can also be loaded full of pictures by direct USB connection with your computer, before you take it over to Mom’s or Grandmother’s house on May 11. (Mother’s Day)

Both new frames are very attractive and easy to use. Even better: the price. The frames can be purchased at K-Mart for only $89.00!

According to Memorex brand manager Carla Pihowich, “”Digital picture frames are becoming so popular in the home and as gift items, Memorex has designed these frames to be a cut above the ordinary design, with feminine graphics that will delight the mom in everyone’s life.”

The two new digital frames are the Memorex Special Occasions frame, and the Memorex Floral Print frame. Both have 7-inch displays and come with AC adapters.

You can’t buy them yet, but they will be on sale at your local K-Mart in May.

Pandigital Is Number One Seller of Digital Picture Frames

Posted on Apr 5, 2008 by Jane Goodwin at 12:05 am

Pandigital_PanTouch_photo_3_540x453According to Michael Fitzhugh of the East Bay (California) Business Times, Pandigital is now the Number One seller of wireless/digital photo frames!

The Pandigital frame pictured here is one of the newest PanTouch frames, which were discussed on this blog last Thursday.

Dean Finnegan, Pandigital’s CEO and founder, has built Pandigital from the ground up, beginning in August of 2006, underselling other digital picture frame companies and capturing more and more of the market each year. This year - 2008 - Pandigital’s sales topped $44 million, employs about 85 people, and sells wireless/digital photo frames ranging in size from 1.8 inches to 15 inches.

Pandigital Introduces New PanTouch Digital Picture Frames

I posted yesterday about Kodak’s new Quick Touch digital picture frames, and it looks as though Pandigital is next with their new PanTouch digital photo frames!

Don’t worry about smearing the picture, either; as you can see from this picture, the “intuitive” touch controls are embedded in the matte around the picture.

According to the Pandigital PanTouch press release, “Customers can use touch and swipe motions on the surrounding matte to access digital images, Mp3 music, and video clips.”

Each of the three new PanTouch frames will have 512 MB of internal memory, and limitless numbers of digital pictures can be shown when using your camera’s memory card or your flash drive, depending on the size of the card or drive.

The three Pandigital PanTouch frames will be on sale soon. This looks like a good digital picture frame concept to me, and, of course, Pandigital s already known for the several great digital picture frames already on the market. Check the Wireless Digital Picture Frames archives; you’ll see what I mean.
