According to a new report by InfoTrends, worldwide shipments of camera phones are expected to exceed 1.3 billion in 2012 (up from 700 million units in 2007). The biggest boost in shipments is expected to come from the Eastern Europe, Middle Eastern, and African regions.
Camera phones with higher resolutions (5+ megapixels) are expected to drive market growth in countries with already strong markets. It is expected that the increased availability and quality of camera phones will help drive photo-sharing behaviors.
FrameChannel already supports photo-sharing from camera phones. If you have a FrameChannel account and a camera phone, any photo you take on your phone can be sent directly to your frame! Just type in your unique email address which is “your username”@framesend.com as the “to” address of a picture message and your photo will appear on your frame! You can adjust privacy and invitation settings for this feature in the My Account area of FrameChannel.

Host of the popular technology website Chris.Pirillo.com recently reviewed the new DLink frame. He gives both the frame and the FrameChannel service a very positive review.
In his opinion, and we agree, the 3 most important areas that will make a frame successful are:
1. Pulling in photos from internet
2. Minimal time spent with the frame to set it up
3. Ease of use for non-technical people
