WHAT: TiVo users can now personalize the delivery of local news, weather and sports, as well as updates from social networks like Facebook, Twitter and Flickr all onto your TV. FrameChannel adds to the growing content already available on the TiVo service, combining cable, movies, web and music into one box.

o With several quick start apps, you can receive the latest local news, weather, traffic, stocks or see the latest sport scores – all customized based on your zip code.
o Or, you can select from thousands of information choices through FrameChannel to add to your slideshow of customized content on your TiVo homepage.
• Make it Social
o Via the FrameChannel app, TiVo can deliver updates from your social networks like Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and Digg.
o You can even create a slideshow of pictures from Facebook, Flickr, and other sites.

Hyperlocal iPad app with FrameChannel, local news, school information and more

With the FrameChannel app on the iPad, you can get hyper local content from your zip code delivered directly to your iPad, updated automatically. Download the FrameChannel app, create a free FrameChannel account, enter your zip and add the zipchannels Local channel to your account. This will give you a dynamic presentation of hyper local news, weather, sports scores, school news, events, lottery numbers, stock quotes from local companies and more. iPad Mobile Me Support with FrameChannel

For those, like me, who are true Apple addicts and have a Mac an iPhone and now and iPad and connect them all with Mobile Me, the FrameChannel app let’s you view your Mobile Me photos easily on your iPad as a picture frame app that updates on its own or let’s you browse, pinch, zoom and swipe using the amazing gestures of the iPad. I posted a bunch of photos on my Mobile Me account, added the feed to my FrameChannel account, put the iPad in its dock and from across the room was amazed at how great these photos look. I then added some photos to Mobile Me from my laptop and the next thing I knew they were showing up on my iPad. Amazing.
