Holiday gift ideas
There are lots of great frames out there this year – here are some suggestions to help you find the right frame for your. Before you think about a digital frame, make sure of two things before you buy:
1) Make sure it is WiFi enabled so it can connect to the internet and
2) Make sure it is FrameChannel enabled so you can get the content that matters to you most delivered to your frame
With those two, you can hardly go wrong but here are a few to be sure to check out.
Best in reliability remains D-link DSM-210.
It is not the most feature rich, nor is it the best design but in reliability this one does the best. I’ve had one running in my kitchen uninterrupted for 14 months. Simple and reliable!

Best non photo frame device
The Roku Digital Video Player, starting at $79 dollars. This is a neat device for playing Netflix or Amazon movies on your big screen TV but also does a great job running FrameChannel
Great write up from ZDNet yesterday highlighting FrameChannel as the most useful app (http://blogs.zdnet.com/mobile-gadgeteer/?p=2211&tag=nl.e539)

Best value
Camnex 12.1 inch eframe – this is a new frame that so far has proven well on the reliability scale and is great looking with a stunning 12.1 inch display.

Best looking
Viewsonic WiFi frame – great looking display and a very elegant wood border. This device is reliable but a little clumsy on the set-up (too many features, especially when all it needs is FrameChannel). A great value at $99

I can not get the VFP838-11 to give me an activation code for frame channel… How do I get the code? I can not find a newer firmware on Viewsonic’s website.
