Exemode Yashica DVF828 – With Scanner!
My favorite digital picture frames are those with WiFi, I’ll confess, and I have a lovely big wireless Digital Spectrum MF8104 sitting on my piano as we speak.
However, I also have, here and there around the house, three different plain digital picture frames, and I like them, too, although they’re definitely not as versatile or as easy to use as the wireless frames are.
This digital frame has something different, though. It’s got a built-in scanner. Now, seriously, I think this is an awesome addition to a digital frame! Anyone with a lot of non-digital photographs lying around in old albums or shoeboxes would agree, or I’d be very surprised to hear it. Besides, with the Exemode Yashica DVF828, you’re not limited to pictures; its scanner also works with almost anything else that’s paper, such as newspaper articles, recipes, programs, etc. I think that’s really cool.
Here’s what GazTech has to say about the Exemode Yashica DVF828 digital picture frame:
The world of digital frames was becoming quite boring. Every new digital frame seemed almost exactly the same with only minor variations in details. Essentially, the new digital frames that were being released were simply replicas of the previous one. The Exemode Yashica DVF828 Digital Photo Frame attempted to differentiate itself from other models by incorporating a scanner.
The scanner adds a nice touch because it allows people to easily and directly add images to the frame’s memory from hard copies. Photos can be scanned in at 1200 x 1800 pixels resolution.
The Exemode Yashica DVF828 Digital Photo Frame also encourages a bit of creativity. Traditionally, people use digital photo frames to upload pictures of their families and friends but much more can easily be uploaded to the Exemode Yashica DVF828 Digital Photo Frame. The scanner allows an upload of items such as newspaper clippings or magazine articles. Pictures or clippings can be converted to multiple digital file formats such as MP3, JPEG, or MPEG-1.
One thing that the Exemode Yashica DVF828 Digital Photo Frame is missing is WiFi connectivity that would make it much easier for individuals to directly upload to Flickr or Youtube. Although the frame is missing WiFi technology, Exemode Yashica should receive some praise for pushing digital frames one step further towards “having it all.” The Exemode Yashica DVF828 Digital Photo Frame retails for $277.
