ViewSonic Introduces Two New Digital Frames for the Holidays!

iSuppli indicates that the digital picture frame market will “see worldwide growth of 78.3 million frames sold by 2011.” The holiday season, always a time when most people get out there and purchase electronics as gifts for themselves and others, has many new digital picture frames, as well as many old favorites.  among the new choices this year are two new 8″ digital photo frames by ViewSonic: the DPG801BK and the DPG807BK, both with SwifTouch™ technology: hidden control buttons that illuminate to show your menu slections only when needed.

Pictures are uploaded to both of the new ViewSonic frames via your camera’s memory card, USB cable or computer, or thumb drive.  Both the DPG801BK and the DPG807BK have 512 MB of internal memory, which means that both frames can handle thousands of pictures. This also means that the ViewSonic DPG801BK and the DPG807BK are the perfect gift for people on your gift list who aren’t very tech-savvy.  Just preload one or both of the new ViewSonic frames, take it to your recipient’s home, plug it in, turn it on, and STEP BACK!  When those precious photographs start slideshowing across the screen, everybody in the room is going to want one of these!

Both frames have a resolution of 800 x 600, a 4:3 aspect ration, and 55:1 (typ) contrast ration, so you know the pictures are going to be crisp, colorful, and clear.  Not only can the DPG801BK show photographs; it can also display motion JPEGs as well.  The DPG807BK can display MPEG1, MPEG4, and MOtion JPEG for video.

Both frames will play your MP3’s, too, and both frames have clock, alarm, and calendar functions as well as a wireless remote, as well.
