Retrevo Rates Several Wireless/Digital Photo Frames

Posted on Dec 15, 2007 by Jane Goodwin at 12:05 am

I know that I’ve already posted several times about how wireless/digital picture frames are the top-selling holiday gift item of the 2007 season, but I just can’t help it!  All over the internet, there is article after article, essay after essay, survey after survey, shouting from the rooftops that wireless/digital photo frames are NUMBER ONE this season.

Care to read another?  I’m sure it won’t be the last.

Retrevo has posted a list of wireless/digital frames they especially liked.  You won’t be surprised to see that one of their very favorites, the MF-8104 Premium 10-inch Wireless Digital Frame, is FrameChannel-compatible.

The Retrevo review can be seen right here.

I know I wasn’t surprised to see the MF-8104 on their list.  It’s on everybody’s list!

You have to be kidding me. As picture frame the Kodak MF-8104 very mediocre compared to other frames in it’s class. Nerrow viewing angle, slow menue navigating, wireless IR remode with a range of about 12″ and it crashes too often.

As for the wireless function, it’s even worst. Save your money and just get a big memory card to store you pictures on. The wireless can only do 200 slides, you have to restart the slideshow after everyround and it doesn’t recurse directories. On and did I mention it crashes all the time.

I have yet to find a wireless picture frame to replace my Wallflower picture frame. And why do DPF cost so much more than a cheap 17″ monitor yet the viewing quality is so poor?
