Wireless/Digital Photo Frames Are THE Hot Holiday Item for 2007
I had several errands to do today, in several different stores: stores that really didn’t have much in common, ordinarily. Today, however, I couldn’t help but notice a shared interest, and I’m not referring to the Christmas decorations.
Within a few hours, I visited a pharmacy, a pet store, WalMart, K-Mart, two grocery stores, a craft-and-hobby store, and Big Lots. Now, except for WalMart and K-Mart, and the two grocery stores, these business really don’t have a lot in common.
But the shared interest I noticed was “universal” to them all. Every one of these stores was featuring several different wireless/digital picture frames.
I have read many articles this past month that predicted that wireless/digital photo frames would be THE HOT ITEM for the 2007 holiday season, and it’s easy to believe on several levels.
First of all, I can’t offhand even think of a gift that would be cooler than a wireless/digital photo frame, especially for someone who has children or beloved pets, or who travels, or who has parents, or a garden. . . . in other words, ANYBODY.
Secondly, there are so many ways a wireless/digital photo frame can be used! Fill it full of your kids’ pictures and display them on your desk at work. Fill it full of vacation pictures and display it in the den. Fill it full of pictures of merchandise or services and display it in the window of your business. Fill it full of pictures of yourself and your siblings as children and give it to your mother. Fill it full of pictures of home and family and pets and siblings and give it to your college-age son or daughter. Make a montage of your daughter or son’s life from birth to an hour ago and give it to him/her for a wedding gift. The possibilities are endless.
But if you plan to buy a wireless/digital picture frame (or two) (or five) this holiday season, you’d better be getting them soon. When I tell you that wireless/digital picture frames will be the HOTTEST CHRISTMAS GIFT ITEM EVER, I’m not kidding, and I’m not exaggerating, either.
And, if your mom’s house is already too cluttered, think about getting her a digital photo frame keychain. They’re on sale at CVS Pharmacy right now for only $19.99, and they hold up to sixty pictures!
The manager of one of the grocery stores told me that he realized a wireless/digital picture frame was an unusual item for a food store, but he had heard about the potential for a holiday obsession and he wanted in on it.
Whatever your wireless/digital frame choice, get ‘em while they’re still on the shelves. They’re already flying off!
