eStarling Wireless Digital Picture Frame Exchange Program for Existing Customers
Customers who purchased the eStarling wireless picture frame from Thinkgeek.com during the 2006 holidays will be given the opportunity to upgrade that frame to the new eStarling 2.0 picture frame at absolutely no cost to them. That’s right: eStarling customers will be able to exchange, at no cost, their existing frame for the updated version, the eStarling 2.0.
Beginning today, Feb. 19, details on how to exchange the frame can be found at www.estarling.com/support, and through Thinkgeek customer service email.
Jeff Luo, founder and CEO of PF Digital, Inc., the maker of the eStarling wireless digital picture frame (the one with its own distinct email address!) says that “. . .we were not completely satisfied with some key features of the product, and to ensure complete satisfaction for our customers, we are offering existing eStarling customers an exchange option, on or about March 30, 2007, so they will be able to receive the new eStarling 2.0 photo frame at absolutely no cost to them.”
Again, any customers who purchased the eSterling wireless digital photo frame last Christmas: just go to www.estarling.com/support, beginning today, or check your email for a message from Thinkgeek.
The eStarling Wireless Picture Frame is an RSS-enabled Wi-Fi photo frame that supports both upstream and downstream photo sharing. The updated version is fantastic!
And how many businesses of ANY kind will offer customers a free updated version?

While the product is great, the hosting service SeeFrame Live however needs help. Bought one of these for the parents, received in advance of the holiday to set it up and try it out. All worked as advertised….until yesterday. E-mailing pictures fails most of the time, the server responds with denial of service frequently because eStarling frames apparently sold well this season. RSS feeds didn’t update at all yesterday and today there’s duplicate pictures from the RSS feeds. Uploading isn’t much better given the server times out and you can only upload 4 pictures at one time.Sad ending to what appeared to be a great idea and terrific gift…imagine a digital frame that the not-so-tech-savvy parents could enjoy.
