Kodak Wireless Digital Picture Frames
Kodak’s booth was buzzing this year at CES 2007 in Las Vegas following their product announcements. They previewed many new products including a suite of Digital Picture Frames including a huge step forward as the first major consumer brand to show off a WIFI picture frame. Their wireless picture frames will be available to consumers in March starting at $229 USD. This announcement is surely exciting and raises some questions about the industry :

Kodak’s booth at CES – a wall of digital picture frames!
- Which other consumer brands will follow Kodak and release wireless digital picture frames in 2007? Will we see competing products from the likes of Sony, Philips and Samsung or is the competition more likely to come from companies like Dell and HP?
- Will there be enough competition in 2007 to drive the prices of wireless digital picture frames below $199?
- When will we see the first WIFI picture frame for under $100?
- Will Kodak’s wireless frame provide enough value if it only connects to their EASYSHARE network or will they ultimately have to be open to feeds from many sources?
